The Commercial Operations Specialist serves in a meaningful role supporting the daily operations of our Commercial teams while working with our CRM and ERP systems. This role supports commercial contract management and customer-specific pricing through the flawless maintenance of contract databases, along with establishing business processes around renewal to improve revenue.
The position will directly support the entire Diagnostics and Genomics commercial team and report directly to the Director of Commercial Enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the review, renewal, routing, and administrative tracking of customer contracts and agreements, including NDAs, pricing and supply agreements, and material transfer agreements
- Keep contract databases updated and verify that pricing and terms are accurate and authorized (e.g., Ironclad, Salesforce)
- Coordinate timely contract renewals in collaboration with the sales team and/or legal team members
- Input and uphold customer-specific pricing and terms in ERP systems while advancing process improvements
- Monitor pricing accuracy and resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams
- Assist with pricing updates and communications, and data integrity audits
- Provide sales teams with training materials on contract management, and training as needed to support the onboarding of new commercial team members
- Assist with reporting and compliance tracking
- Generate and distribute reports and/or dashboards as needed
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or sales enablement roles
- Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) and Salesforce.com
- Previous exposure to ERP’s and/or contract management systems a positive
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Clear and confident communication abilities
Preferred:
- Previous experience in contract management and/or customer-specific pricing administration
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and data automation processes
- Prior experience collaborating with third-party shared business services
