Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service by accurately and efficiently processing orders, maintaining clear communication, and collaborating with other departments to resolve inquiries. This role also focuses on building and sustaining strong client relationships through prompt, reliable support that fosters customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of customer contact for general inquiries (i.e. pricing, products, scheduling etc.).
- Respond promptly to customer requests.
- Accurately input customer orders into database.
- Provide customers with product and service information.
- Up-sell products and services.
- Provides support to the shipping team (picking & checking).
- Exemplify the LGC core values on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Associates or Bachelor of Science degree is a plus.
- Very organized and attentive to details of procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Computer skills (including MS Office, in particular MS Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of environmental laboratory methods and processes is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills and attention to detail.
