Certified Medication Technician CMT)
We are looking for an experienced and diligent Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to be responsible for providing medication administration to our residents in accordance with the policies and procedures of state and federal regulations. The CMT will maintain accurate records of medications and ensure that all medications are properly stored, labeled, and administered with the highest level of safety and quality.
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer medications to our residents as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor residents’ medication and document all medication administration activities
- Maintain accurate records of all medications, including ordering, storing, and disposing of medications as necessary
- Ensure proper storage of medications and label all medications properly
- Report any adverse reactions to medications and changes in a resident’s condition
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs to remain current on all medication administration regulations
- Ensure that all medications are in compliance with state and federal regulations
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current state certification as a CMT
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiar with state and federal regulations governing medication administration
- Able to read and interpret medication-related documents
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Proficiency in computer systems and applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
