Title: Mechanical Technician, Utility
Reports to: Senior Manager
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (555 N, 55th Ave., Phoenix, AZ)
Starting Pay: $23.50 per hour
Compensation is based on relevant skills, experience, and assigned shift.
This position operates on a rotating three-shift schedule. Employees assigned to afternoon or night shifts are eligible for shift premiums:
• Afternoon Shift: Additional 6% premium
• Night Shift: Additional 10% premium

Summary:
As a utility technician, you will provide mechanical expertise and cost-effective solutions for multiple utility facility operating and construction projects that meet budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and perform repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Boiler, Compressed Dry Air System, Chiller, HVAC, Piping, etc
- Preventive maintenance execution in order to complete all PM tasks
- Troubleshoot the abrupt breakdown of utility facilities
- Monitoring utility operation
- Demonstrate problem-solving methodology and reduce a loss of utility cost
- Follow the work procedure and comply with safety & standard
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
Qualifications:
Trade School Certification in Mechanical Maintenance or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting as a mechanical utility technician preferred
Skills:
Exposure in mechanical facilities setting, preferably in production facility
Experienced with the handling of Utility Facilities
Comfortable working independently and with others
Results-oriented and perseverant
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve
