Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Royal Oak, MI, for a Customs Specialist. The Customs Specialist will handle day-to-day operations related to import and export processes, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and manage documentation for shipments. Responsibilities include liaising with customs authorities, tracking shipments, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing accurate reporting on customs activities. The role also requires staying updated on changes in trade compliance regulations to minimize risks for the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Customs Brokerage and knowledge of associated regulatory compliance
- Experience in managing Import and Export operations
- Strong verbal and written Communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders
- Familiarity with Import Export regulations and documentation processes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced on-site environment
- Relevant certifications or experience in logistics/customs operations is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field is preferred
