Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. in Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level accounting professional seeking continued growth and development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As an Accountant II, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and perform analysis based on financial results.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Maintain the general ledger and support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Support preparation of tax filings and other regulatory compliance reports
- Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
- Analyze financial data and generate reports for management as needed
- Assist in design and operating effectiveness testing of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Communicate with headquarters to fulfill reporting requirements and provide requested information
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting and finance team
- Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Experience:
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
Skills:
- Bilingual English/Korean preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
