Position Overview

Our vision at LG Energy Solution Vertech is one of exceptional customer experience at every phase of the project lifecycle. In an industry facing the immense challenges of deploying projects with unprecedented speed and scale, optimizing asset performance and lifecycle outcomes is critical. This role leads the development of Advanced Battery Analytics capabilities that transform capacity testing and battery performance data into actionable asset health and lifecycle recommendations.


The mission of the Sr Product Manager is to work with cross-functional product team(s) to develop and deliver solutions that are valuable to the customer while being viable for the business. This includes extensive communication and collaboration with both external customers and internal stakeholders. The product manager will work closely with Data Science & Analytics, the Service O&M organization, and the broader Vertech product team to ensure solutions are feasible, differentiated, and outcome driven.


The product manager must contribute a strong understanding of business constraints, including marketing, sales, service, finance, legal, and cybersecurity—while bringing deep knowledge of battery behavior, asset analytics, and customer workflows across operations and energy markets.


Primary Responsibilities

As a product manager, the near-term outcomes of your role will include:

  • Drive the development Advanced Asset Analytics products, with success measured by customer adoption, revenue impact, and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, asset owners, and power markets experts to define, test, and validate analytics and optimization solutions.
  • Translate complex battery behavior, degradation, availability, and market constraints into customer-facing product capabilities.
  • Conduct product discovery and market validation with asset owners, operators, traders, and service teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design scalable business models and commercial offerings, including pricing and packaging.
  • Ensure all business needs are met to bring new analytics capabilities to market, including sales materials, contracts, documentation, and roll-out plans.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on product roadmap, backlog, progress, and business impact.
  • Track and communicate industry and competitive developments across battery analytics, trading platforms, and optimization technologies.


Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, finance, data science, sales, or marketing.
  • Strong experience in B2B enterprise product management within complex hardware–software environments.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, data scientists, and company leaders in a collaborative and constructive manner.
  • Ability to structure analytics, system constraints, and market data into clear product decisions.
  • Acts without being told what to do; brings new ideas to the company and drives them into execution.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Sees and communicates the big picture; determines opportunities and threats through analysis of current and future trends.


Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required; advanced degree in engineering, economics, operations research, or related field a plus.
  • 7–10 years working on technology-powered products, including analytics, forecasting, or optimization platforms.
  • Experience developing or managing analytics solutions in the energy domain is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks and their application to analytics and optimization problems.
  • Background in energy storage, renewable energy, or complex, highly integrated industries is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques.


Travel

Up to 20% domestic and international travel will be required for customer and supplier visits, collaboration with colleagues, and participation in industry trade shows and conferences.

Salary : $159,000 - $185,000
