Summary:

As a Vision Systems Supervisor, you will oversee a safe and productive work environment and follow all applicable regulations. You will train and develop staff for success in the company goals and for future opportunities. You will establish and maintain a solid working relationship with both internal departments as well as external resources. You will provide frequent feedback to employees, sharing expectations and enforcing accountability. You will collaborate with support areas to ensure Safety, Quality and Cost demands are met. 

Responsibilities:

• Direct, coordinate, lead and mentor the activities of team members
• Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new team members, or assign team members to experienced technicians for training
• Oversee PC based inspection program developed by vendor that uses various inspection logic
• Manage the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of relay logic, inspection flow, control components – photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoid, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records, and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
• Plan, establish and assign work schedules, assignments, and work orders to ensure department goals are met
• Develop and track KPI’s and goals established for the team and individuals
• Facilitate team member development and growth by reviewing and managing performance through feedback and coaching as well as documentation  
• Enforce safety and other applicable rules and regulations 
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Document and follow up on SOP’s
• Ensure all team members are utilizing time effectively
• Observe work and monitor completion of tasks and work orders
• Confer with management, peers and others to resolve team member’s problems, complaints, or grievances
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members.
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
  1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
• Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Vocational Certificate or associate's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

• 3 to 6 years of experience
• 1 to 3 years of leadership experience
