Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.comSummaryAs a Facilities Engineer I, under limited supervision, you will provide mechanical expertise and cost effective solutions for multiple facility construction projects that meet budget, quality, and schedule requirements.Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerDirect and manage Architects, Engineers, Vendors and Contractors for facility construction projects from design through project closeoutPlan and administer research and development activities concerned with design, construction, and production of facilities and systemsDetermine feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors, utilizing professional engineering theory and practicesDesign, modify, or develop machines, equipment, or processes used in processing or production of goods and servicesProvide technical information concerning production or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations that affect long-range plant and product engineering planningDesign and direct activities of engineering personnel engaged in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and in establishment of methods, procedures, and conditions for testing equipmentPrepare RFP?s for General Contractor cost comparisons and selectionPlan and implement building and equipment MEP/FP requirementsCoordinate with Corporate Development Equipment Teams to ensure the building space meets production needsConduct Value Engineering for best facility design, function, and lowest cost.Analyze and calculate the technical requirements to produce drawings, specifications, and cost estimates(e.g.architectural, structural & mechanical)Coordinate maintenance work requestPurchase tools and materials for maintenance team useIssue maintenance contractsCoordinate with General Contractor for building repairsAssist Safety, Health & Environmental Team with technical information regard building equipmentMaintain day to day status of fire alarm systemRespond to urgent request and organizing labor teams to complete these urgent requestQualifications:Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experienceExperience:1 to 3 years of experience in mechanicalengineering design, construction and maintenance of industrial facilitiesLeadershipManufacturing experienceSkills:MS Office SuiteCommunication skillsProblem solving and analytical skills
