POSITION SUMMARY:
The LG EVC Safety Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and preventing hazards which protect our local and outsourced employees, customers and contractors . This person often leads incident investigations, identifying hazards and implementing measures to prevent recurrences. Their responsibilities also includes the ability to assess risks and translate them into actionable recommendations as well as supervising the practices of the business to ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are being followed. Working under the direction of the SHEE Manager, the Associate Safety Analyst will help to design, implement, and evaluate safety programs, testing and inspecting the operating environment, conducting training, and act as a delivery resource to support the SHEE operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with managing site EHS development to drive safety culture and procedures while maintaining compliance with national and local life safety codes
Manage and facilitate extensive Safety/Security and HAZMAT training for all personnel
Assist with the development of OSHA compliant safety and training programs as well as Provide technical evaluations of OSHA systems and assists with making security improvements
Perform regular inspection of safety & fire prevention compliance
Perform audits for but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Job Hazardous Analysis, Machine Safe Guarding, Construction Safety
Assist and maintain compliance that is consistent with the requirements of ISO
Incident management (First aid response, accident investigation, workers compensation and incident reporting)
Recommend PPE for specific work activity hazards and Serve as the site PPE subject matter expert
Assist with fire equipment and facility inspections as needed
Provide EHS technical expertise on manufacturing systems, process design and operating procedures for risk reduction and ergonomic improvements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of Bachelors' Degree bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field
3-5 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements that includes but not limited to manufacturing and 6 Sigma Lean manufacturing
Ability/Experience in using strong skills in analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating problems
Knowledge of manufacturing; including machine capabilities and efficiencies, etc.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements that includes but not limited to manufacturing and 6 Sigma Lean manufacturing
Ability/Experience in using strong skills in analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating problems
Knowledge of manufacturing; including machine capabilities and efficiencies, etc.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Safety and/or Fire Prevention certifications preferred
Document control knowledge and experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting effective planning reports and projects
Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with local teams or leadership
Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well- defined planning problems
Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment
