Job Summary
LF Avionics, an FAA & EASA certified 145 MRO specializing in the repair and overhaul of avionics and electromechanical components, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing aviation parts, materials, and services to support our repair operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain processes, and a high level of accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase aircraft parts, components, and supplies from approved vendors in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Request and evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery dates.
- Track and expedite open orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with repair coordinators, customer service, and technicians to understand material requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, or quality with vendors.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and recommending reorder actions.
- Collaborate with accounting for invoice matching and payment follow-up.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the aviation or MRO industry.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulatory standards is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
