Job Overview
As a Truss Technician at Lezzer Lumber, you will be responsible for all aspects of roof and floor truss and wall panel manufacturing. You will work directly with the Truss Shift Supervisor and perform various duties to ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Main Responsibilities
Inspect materials prior to assembly to prevent defective lumber from being used in truss manufacturing.
Offload and sort materials onto designated carts and organize them according to job sequence.
Complete tasks on the assembly line for each job, using various saws such as the Cybersaw, Spidasaw, or Radial Arm saw for accurate cutting.
Execute operations on the MiTek truss assembly table, including specified board and web placement using the Virtek setup system.
Perform gable assembly using air nailers and staplers.
Keep the manufacturing floor clear and safe during production, attending to any housekeeping duties that may arise.
Immediately report any accidents, injuries, or incidents of damage to merchandise, buildings, equipment, and customer property to the Operations Manager.
Prioritize safe and proper lifting, carrying, and material maneuvering practices.
Work Environment
As a Truss Technician, you will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
