What we do:
We produce pure silicon anode rolls that fit seamlessly into existing battery cell manufacturing lines, enabling customers to make a quantum leap in performance or create entirely new product categories.
Our initial focus is on consumer electronics, with automotive applications already in development.
By leveraging semiconductor thin-film technology (plasma deposition) and scaling it to battery anodes, we’ve overcome the long-standing challenges of silicon in batteries, delivering durability and efficiency at scale.
To meet global demand, we’re scaling up:
PlantOne in Eindhoven opens in 2026, producing anode rolls and validating our roll-to-roll production tools.
PlantTwo, our large-scale production facility, will follow, establishing LeydenJar as a key player in the global battery market.

What do you do as our corporate development & strategy specialist?
You support or lead equity, debt and subsidy transactions to keep our business funded. We already raised >EUR 100mn, but have much bigger plans still. This ranges from hands-on preparing materials (pitch decks, financial models) to negotiation support.
You run our annual strategy cycle and support business planning efforts through goal setting etc.
You run core strategic initiatives within LeydenJar and drive the implementation of important partnerships. Topics we’ve been involved in include (i) securing long term supply chain partnerships, (ii) developing giga-scale manufacturing concepts and (iii) supporting overseas customer technology implementation.
Support Leadership Team with decision support analyses on a range of ad-hoc matters.
You are someone who…
Passionate about deep and clean tech and want to make your mark on a fast-growing scale-up company.
Has a master's degree from a top University. Technical background is valued, but not required.
3-10 years of working experience in a high-performance environment. Examples include (but are not limited to) top tier strategy consulting, investment banking or another deep tech venture.
Has a commercial mindset and is eager to close deals.
Has experience in business planning, deal structuring and market research. Hands-on excellence in Excel and Powerpoint - you’ll be doing a lot of storytelling.
Has hands-on mindset and thrive on ambiguity. This might be quite the culture shift from your previous job.
