Job Summary

An Automotive Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers through the vehicle purchasing process by understanding their needs, presenting suitable options, and delivering excellent customer experience. This role combines product knowledge, communication skills, and relationship-building to drive sales and customer satisfaction. This person will work directly with the sales team and report to the Variable Sales Management Team directly.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine their vehicle needs, preferences, and budget
• Present and demonstrate new and used vehicles, highlighting features and benefits
• Conduct test drives and answer customer questions clearly and professionally
• Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing options in collaboration with management
• Complete required sales documentation accurately and efficiently
• Follow up with customers after sales to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle inventory, features, and promotions
• Meet or exceed individual and dealership sales goals
• Maintain a clean, organized showroom and vehicle display area
• Adhere to dealership policies, ethical standards, and local regulations

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
• Previous sales or customer service experience (automotive sales preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with customers
• Basic computer and CRM system skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and reliable
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Work Environment

• Fast-paced dealership setting
• Combination of indoor showroom work and outdoor lot activity
• Standing, walking, and occasional lifting may be required
