About our Team

This team will focus on building new applications, modernizing existing systems, and solving complex technical problems using AI as a practical development tool. We are looking for engineers with strong fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated solutions. The team will also own Laravel platform standards and contribute to automation, operational support, and security across our environments.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer III to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with cloud-native development, security expertise, and an AI-first mindset. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of scalable enterprise applications while helping drive engineering excellence, automation, and secure software delivery practices.

As a Software Engineer III, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, take ownership of complex technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and play a critical role in advancing our cloud and security capabilities.

Responsibilities

Software Engineering & System Design

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Apply established software design patterns and engineering best practices to create scalable, maintainable, and secure systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple application layers.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

• Build, deploy, and support applications running in cloud-native environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation technologies.
• Deploy and troubleshoot workloads running on Kubernetes.
• Support Azure-based infrastructure and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve deployment automation, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in root cause analysis and remediation of production incidents.

AI-First Development & Automation

• Leverage AI-powered development tools, agents, and automation frameworks to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Build intelligent automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize AI-assisted troubleshooting techniques to accelerate root cause identification and resolution.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications within the software development lifecycle.
• Champion responsible and effective adoption of AI across engineering teams.

Security Engineering

• Act as a security-conscious engineer throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and assess their impact on applications, infrastructure, and supporting services.
• Develop remediation plans and partner with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of security findings.
• Support security initiatives spanning both Linux and Windows environments.
• Implement secure coding practices and contribute to threat mitigation efforts.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and development teams to improve organizational security posture.
• Participate in security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and system design patterns.
• Experience designing and building scalable enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and deployment practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
• Experience using Azure cloud services.
• Experience creating and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools, agents, and automation platforms to improve software delivery and operational outcomes.
• Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security concepts.
• Experience analyzing CVEs, performing risk assessments, and driving remediation activities.
• Experience supporting applications running on both Linux and Windows environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical development experience using C#/.NET.
• Practical development experience using Laravel/PHP.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
• Experience working in highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Relevant cloud or security certifications.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
