What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Lifeguard position at Lexington Property Group?
We are seeking reliable and attentive Seasonal Lifeguards to join our residential apartment community team for the summer season. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. The company is willing to reimburse the cost of Lifeguard certification (terms apply).
Season Schedule
- Weekends only beginning Memorial Day weekend (pending DOH approval)
- Pool opens 7 days per week starting June 27 through Labor Day - priority will be given to applicants who are available to work through Labor Day
Shift Hours
- Monday – Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Maintain constant surveillance of pool patrons and respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Enforce Department of Health regulations to ensure a safe environment
- Perform routine chemical checks and monitor pool safety conditions
- Report all incidents or accidents to the Community Manager on duty and document in the log book
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool area
- Arrange and organize pool furniture, including chairs and lounge seating
- Verify pool passes and oversee guest sign-in procedures
- Ensure all pool equipment is functioning properly
- Complete daily opening and closing procedures as assigned
- Maintain hourly attendance records while on duty
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Lifeguard Certification required
- Current CPR Certification valid through the 2026 season
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Professional, upbeat, and customer-service-oriented attitude while enforcing safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
