What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Middle School Boys Soccer Coach position at Lexington Middle School?
The Assistant Middle School Boys Soccer Coach will support the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting a successful soccer program for middle school student-athletes. The assistant coach will help develop players' soccer skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive environment that encourages student-athletes to grow academically, athletically, and personally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and team activities.

Help teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and game strategies.

Assist the Head Coach with game preparation, coaching, and competition management.

Support the development of teamwork, discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship.

Help monitor student-athlete academic eligibility, attendance, and behavior.

Provide supervision and support for student-athletes during practices and competitions.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents/guardians, coaches, and athletic department staff.

Follow all school, district, conference, and athletic department policies and procedures.

Assist with maintaining and organizing team equipment, uniforms, and athletic facilities.

Attend required coaches' meetings, professional development, and athletic department activities.

Serve as a positive role model and representative of Lexington Middle School and its athletic program.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications:

Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching staff.

Strong communication, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively work with and motivate middle school student-athletes.

Must meet all school district and athletic department coaching requirements and certifications.

Must maintain required CPR/First Aid certification and complete all required coaching education and safety training.
