What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant - Life Enrichment position at Lexington Medical Lodge?
The Activity Director Assistant works directly with residents to execute daily group programs and individual recreation inside our skilled nursing facility. This position focuses on setting up activity spaces, encouraging resident participation, and supporting scheduled events throughout the week. You will work alongside our Activity Director to keep daily social schedules running smoothly for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Set up activity rooms and gather necessary crafts, games, or equipment before scheduled events.
- Escort residents to and from activity spaces to ensure full group participation.
- Lead daily group games, craft projects, and individual resident visits.
- Assist the Activity Director with decorating common areas for monthly events and holiday gatherings.
- Document resident participation levels in facility activity logs after each program.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: Starting at $15/hr, scaling upward with experience
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8AM-5PM

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience assisting with resident activities or event planning preferred
- Must pass a standard criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
