RN – Medical ICU (MICU)
Full Time PM Shift (7p–7:30a)$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Lexington Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse to join our high‑acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Lexington Medical Center, a nationally recognized, Magnet‑designated teaching hospital in West Columbia, SC.
About the MICU - 21‑bed unit caring for critically ill patients requiring:
- Intensive medical, neuro, and coronary care
- Cardiac intervention recovery (angioplasty, stents, TAVR, ablations)
- Invasive monitoring & vasoactive infusions
- Mechanical ventilation & nitric oxide therapy
- Thrombolytics, EKOS therapy, Impella & IABP
- Therapeutic hypothermia, peritoneal dialysis, and more
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and respond to rapidly changing conditions
- Administer medications, manage invasive lines, and operate critical care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the multidisciplinary team
- Educate and support patients and families during complex care situations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold all safety and infection‑control standards
- Participate in unit‑based quality improvement and professional development activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: ADN or BSN
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of intensive/critical care RN experience
- Licensure: Current South Carolina RN license
- Certifications: Must meet specialty requirements per Lexington Health policy
