What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Lexington Management?
Lexington Hotel Management is looking for a dependable individual with strong customer service skills to fill a full-time position as a Maintenance Technician for the Residence Inn by Marriott, West Chester OH.
Job requirements include but are not limited to:
- One year of Hotel/Apartment Maintenance Experience
- Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests.
- Communicate with guests to determine their needs and provide them with solutions.
- Ensure security of Guestroom access and hotel property.
- Plunge toilets, unclog drains, and replace light bulbs
- Use a carpet cleaning machine on all Carpeted areas and upholstery.
- Must be willing to be trained on pool maintenance, water chemistry, and cleaning of the pool/spa.
- Repair/replace all types of hardware, in guest rooms and public areas.
- Must have a basic understanding of the maintenance and repair of electrical and plumbing equipment.
- Must be proficient in painting and drywall repair.
- Must be willing to be trained on furniture touch-ups and wallpaper repair.
- Read, log, track and interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other measuring units.
- Clean all engineering areas and work in a neat, efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
- Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks such as changing filters and belts, and cleaning condenser coils and Ice machines.
- Light Landscaping, such as trimming bushes, shrubs, and trees.
- Adjust/replace sprinkler heads on the irrigation system.
- Must be able to stay awake for the duration of the shift.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
- Evaluate the inventory monthly to ensure all key maintenance supplies are kept in stock and report this to the supervisor
- Must be able to competently complete tasks and follow directions, with minimal supervision.
- Complete all work orders in a timely manner and track them appropriately.
