About the Role:
The Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU) offers a unique blend of high‑acuity care and strong nurse autonomy, making it an ideal environment for RNs who enjoy complex, fast‑moving clinical situations without the full intensity of an ICU. As a cardiac‑monitored unit, the IICU cares for patients whose conditions are evolving and require close observation, advanced monitoring, and timely intervention. Nurses here build deep expertise in managing patients who are critically ill but stable enough to benefit from a step‑down level of care, creating a rewarding balance of challenge, teamwork, and meaningful patient connection. It’s a unit where clinical skills grow quickly, collaboration is strong, and every shift brings opportunities to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to high-acuity patients

- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams
