Lexington County School District One (Lexington, SC) seeks to hire multiple World Language Teacher(s) Elementary School Spanish Immersion. Position requires U.S. Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent; valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization and fluency in Spanish. Duties: (i) teach subject matter to elementary school students in the target language (Spanish); (ii) teach cultural appreciation, pronunciation, spelling/vocabulary, grammar, and/or comprehension to elementary school students (grade levels(s) 1-5) in target language (Spanish); (iii) translate curriculum materials into the target language; (iv) create supplemental materials to enrich the curriculum in the target language; (iv) and perform other duties as assigned including tutoring elementary school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties. Position may transfer to a different building within the district's metro-statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of the district.
