EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Description
The Executive Director of Human Resources Directors and coordinates all school personnel function. The position performs a variety of administrative task in directing and carrying out all board policies, state and federal procedures in the area of human capital management.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages the recruitment, selection, screening and in-processing of new staff.
- Prepare information, recommendation and reports for the Superintendent including Personnel Summary Report for board meeting.
- Presents information and recommendation to the Board of Education as requested.
- Manages the teacher retention program.
- Oversees employee performance evaluation monitoring and support.
- Ensures professional educator staff are appropriately licensed and credentialed.
- Manages and maintains employment contracts for licensed staff.
- Maintains HR databases, including the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) or LINQ system to ensure appropriate staffing, position management and federal and state personnel reporting.
- Maintains staff development records, and monitors compliance with licensure renewal and conversion requirements for all licensed staff.
- Administers and oversees leaves of absence for all active employees.
- Maintains personnel files in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Processes employee separations and transfers, including exit interviews for departing licensed staff members.
- Serve as district liaison for the District Calendar.
- Supervises and evaluates Human Resources Assistant.
- Manages incentive programs (signing bonuses, tuition reimbursement, performance bonuses, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or Education. (Masters degree preferred).
- Experience working in Human Resources, preferably in a public-school system.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with administrators and staff.
