What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Disorder Counselors position at Lexington Center for Recovery, Inc?
Lexington Center for Recovery, the Hudson Valley’s largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services, is seeking full-time CASACs and CASAC-Ts for our 47-bed community residence located within Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris, NY.
The CASAC/CASAC-T provides substance use disorder counseling services within our inpatient residential and stabilization programs. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team, the CASAC/CASAC-T supports client recovery, stabilization, and successful transition to ongoing care through individual, group, and family counseling services.
CASAC-T staff will provide counseling services under the direct supervision of a qualified clinical supervisor while completing required education, training, and supervised experience toward full CASAC credentialing.
We are currently seeking candidates for day, night, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
- Current CASAC or CASAC-T credential in New York State required
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, detox, or residential settings preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
