Lexington Center for Recovery, Inc. is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as the Nursing Supervisor for our Sullivan County OASAS 816 Withdrawal Services Program and our OASAS 820 Residential Stabilization, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration Programs. This leadership role oversees all nursing operations and supports high-quality, person-centered care for individuals receiving withdrawal and residential treatment services.
We are looking for a confident, organized, and supportive nursing leader who can manage both clinical needs and daily nursing operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct supervision and support to all nursing staff across withdrawal and residential services
- Develop and manage nursing schedules to ensure adequate 24/7 coverage
- Oversee daily nursing assignments and workflow to maintain safe and effective patient care
- Conduct and review medical assessments, triage, and monitoring of patients in withdrawal and residential levels of care
- Coordinate treatment planning with counseling staff, physician and psychiatry providers, and program leadership
- Ensure safe and appropriate withdrawal management, including adherence to protocols and clinical standards
- Oversee medication administration, documentation, medical orders, and electronic health record accuracy
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation for nursing staff
- Participate in daily rounds, admissions, and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with all OASAS 816 and 820 regulations, infection control, and quality standards
- Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and emergency preparedness for the unit
- Assist with audits, incident reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, detox/withdrawal management, or behavioral health preferred
- Prior supervisory, charge nurse, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage schedules, staffing, and 24/7 coverage needs
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Schedule and Compensation:
This is a full time position with competitive salary based on experience. Comprehensive benefits are available for full time staff. Position may include occasional weekend or on-call responsibilities to support program needs.
