Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and safety-conscious NEMT Driver to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical door-to-door transportation services for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and patients needing assistance getting to and from medical appointments, physical therapy, dialysis, and hospital discharges.

Key Responsibilities
- Safe Passenger Transport: Drive ambulatory, wheelchair, or stretcher passengers safely to and from their scheduled healthcare appointments and residential locations.
- Mobility Assistance: Provide curb-to-curb or door-to-door assistance, helping passengers enter and exit the vehicle safely.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and properly secure wheelchairs, mobility devices, and stretchers using required straps and tie-downs.
- Vehicle Inspection & Care: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections (checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and cleanliness). Report maintenance issues immediately.
- Trip Logging & Navigation: Maintain accurate electronic or paper trip logs, route reports, and passenger attendance using dispatch/GPS software.
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to all local and federal traffic laws, company policies, and strict passenger privacy guidelines (HIPAA compliance).
- Communication: Maintain clear, prompt communication with dispatchers regarding route status, delays, or schedule updates.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major infractions or DUI history).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old (for commercial insurance requirements).
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, push wheelchairs, and assist passengers with mobility challenges.
