To maintain the strength and integrity of the network, Lex Mundi applies rigorous quality standards and comprehensive membership review procedures. The Membership Specialist will provide comprehensive support for the membership review process, including assisting with the strategic expansion of the network through the admission of new member firms in gap markets. Where appropriate, the role will also include support on company legal/corporate matters and contract management.
This is a full-time hybrid position, located in Houston. We are in the office every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.; all other work is remote. The role reports to the Vice President of Membership, who is based in New York.
Membership Specialist – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support and analysis for member firm reviews, including project management of the review process, maintaining and updating renewal schedules, conducting research into law firms (including size, rankings, and the competitive landscape), preparing activity reports and participation analyses, coordinating committee calls, and managing documentation and follow-up actions.
- Utilize AI tools and CRM systems to enhance and streamline the membership review process.
- Support the admission of new member firms through legal market research in prospective jurisdictions.
- Support for company legal/corporate matters.
- Assist with contract management and the review of commercial agreements, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Professional Services environment; preference for law firm experience.
- Paralegal experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- International experience is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and experience with CRM systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and time zones.
- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
