Job Summary And Qualifications
The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Cath Lab and the Special Procedures unit.
- Collect specimens for testing.
- Assist physician during procedure.
- You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area.
- Be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings.
- Provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity.
- Educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care.
- Assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
- RN VA License or Multi-state Compact License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
