Required - 2 years switchboard experience.
Preferred - Experience operator with at least 5 years of experience.
EDUCATION
Required - High school graduate.
Preferred - Graduate with previous switchboard experience. Medical terminology a plus.
This is a Part Time Night Shift position

Job Summary And Qualifications
- Promptly answers all incoming calls and assists in placing out-going calls. *
- Responds to code phone, code computer or wall panel alarms which takes priority over any calls except the fire alarm and making sure that appropriate personnel are notified.*
- Monitors fire panel alarms, wall alarms, code phone and code computer where applicable, contacting the fire department and other appropriate personnel when needed.*
- Pages on web based paging system and switchboard for authorized personnel, physicians and emergency calls.*
- Places long distance calls for various departments and doctors' offices.
- Assists patients by advising how to place local and long distance calls.*
- Answers patient information calls whenever necessary.
- Documents vital information to assist supervisor in maintaining current files with the daily PBX operations.*
- Overhead page appropriate personnel as needed.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
