Job Summary and Qualifications

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN.
  

• Works as a member of a team toassistwith milieu management andperformsjob tasks to ensure personal,patientand departmental safety.

• 
  Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers.Ensurestimelyandaccuratecommunication of patient information with all members of the treatment team.

• 
  Leads or Co-Leadsthe following groups: AM goal setting, PM wrap-up and diversionary.
  

• Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor inmaintainingefficiency.
  

• Completes clerical responsibilities.

• 
  Adheres to policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the facility.
  

• Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth.

• 
  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Interv Inst, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

This is a Full Time Day Shift Position with rotating weekends.
