Assistant Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach

Lewisburg Area High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our athletic department as a Varsity Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with student-athletes in a supportive and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lacrosse, a commitment to athlete development, and the ability to foster teamwork and sportsmanship among players.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and implementing daily practice sessions, game strategies, and overall team development.
• Collaborate with the head coach to develop and execute training programs that enhance players' skills, fitness, and understanding of the game.
• Provide individual and group instruction to players, focusing on technical skills, tactics, and game awareness.
• Help manage team logistics, including travel arrangements, equipment inventory, and game day operations.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
• Assist in scouting and recruiting prospective student-athletes to join the program.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with coaching techniques, rules, and regulations.
• Support the head coach in maintaining compliance with school and league policies, including academic eligibility requirements.
• Participate in fundraising and community outreach efforts to promote the girls' lacrosse program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, or a related field preferred.
• Previous coaching experience, particularly at the high school or collegiate level, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the lacrosse season.
