Job Description Summary
The Professional Nurse Tutor (PNT) is a staff position that will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to provide and coordinate tutoring sessions for several classes in the Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program.

Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
Primary responsibilities include:
The PNT will act as a liaison between university areas to develop innovative strategies for tutoring sessions and facilitate continued tutoring program development.

- Provision of tutoring support for Nursing coursework in a one-on-one or group setting for undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications
bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related science degree. Work experience that would contribute to the essential job functions Ability to utilize exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen with empathy and respect, communicate clearly (verbally and in writing), and convey courtesy, patience, sincerity and a desire to help Ability to solve problems independently and in consultation with others Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and faculty, characterized by cooperation, flexibility, reliability, and personal responsibility. Possess excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to interact with diverse personalities and populations with respect and sensitivity Possess proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Zoom Willingness to work evening and weekend hours Ability to sit or stand at desk/worktable with student(s); moving about the office or across campus.
