SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Yes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Accountable for the operational results of General Foremen reporting to you and their crews.
- Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foreman, developing them in project management, safety leadership, reviewing underperforming jobs to develop and action plan, etc.
- Implement the Corporate Safety Program within your GF workgroups (training sessions, tailgate meetings, award programs, etc.) and hold your GFs accountable for its success.
- Work with General Foremen and Corporate Safety investigating and settling accident claims quickly, efficiently, and responsibly.
- Ensure high quality arboricultural work is being performed at all times through the QA/QC process.
- Ensure equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and purchasing procedures are followed.
- Create and implement a communication cadence with existing customers, focused on customer satisfaction, retention, and development.
- Ensure compliance with all customers’ contract specifications and requirements.
- Maintain open communication with Division Manager on all area operational activities.
- Foster relationships with potential customers as assigned by the Regional Vice President or Division Manager.
- Understand and administer all company policies and procedures.
- Attend internal and external training courses.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Division Manager or Regional Vice President.
- Model all Leadership in Action (LIA) principles within area of responsibility, while developing and holding GFs accountable.
- Overall responsible for the professional growth, development, and success of each GF that reports to you.
- Ability to use the job costing reports to identify operation issues (efficiency, planning, etc.), cost control issues, and trends to improve the business.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Foremen or related experience.
- Have a safety champion attitude.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of reviewing and preparing estimates for fixed price lump-sum bids.
- Basic and practicable technology knowledge including E-mail, Microsoft Office, and Smartphones.
- Able and willing to travel via ground or air transportation. Emergencies may require extended out of town stay.
- IF REQUIRED by Territory: Must have ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker after one year of employment with support of the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) would be a plus.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Ability to identify local tree species.
- Ability to learn new programs.
- QA/QC assessment experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

- Proficient with standard office equipment i.e., computers, phones, scanner, fax, and copier.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft
