Lenexa law firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support its creditors’ rights practice. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing bankruptcy matters from intake through resolution and enjoys working in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and file bankruptcy pleadings, including proofs of claim, motions, and related documents using PACER and ECF
- Track and review case dockets, flagging important developments and deadlines
- Coordinate with attorneys to support motions for relief from stay, objections, and other creditor-side filings
- Communicate with clients, trustees, and court personnel to obtain necessary documentation and keep matters moving
- Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure accuracy across all filings
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in bankruptcy law (creditors’ rights experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of Chapters 7, 11, and 13 procedures
- Familiarity with federal filing systems, including PACER and ECF
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines consistently
- Comfortable working in an in-office, team-oriented setting
Position Details:

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: $53,193.38 - $64,060.85 per year
