Full-Time Night Auditor Position in Gales Ferry, Connecticut
NOTE: This position commences with a training period in mid-May 2026. Position functions will commence starting June 1 with the opening of The Commodore Motel.

This position relates to one of Lewis Representation LLC’s larger clients, Cannonball, Inc., which owns and manages various popular restaurant establishments in the area, together with its newest addition, an in-development high-standard motel named The Commodore. The successful applicant to this position will be employed through Lewis Representation LLC as a client-specific night auditor for the motel, and will be responsible for a multitude of tasks, including handling late-night front desk duties and closing out and opening each financial day.
Position Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 25lbs., reaching up to 12ins., moving around through relevant workspaces, and remaining stationary for multiple hours at a time
- Must be willing to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays, and should be comfortable working alone at night
- Must be familiar with and comfortable performing basic accounting tasks, including handling cash and reconciling accounts
- Must be strongly attentive to detail
- Must be an excellent communicator and possess customer service skills
- Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Experience with InnQuest roommaster and/or Toast POS strongly preferred (but training will be provided if needed)
- Experience working at a hotel or motel front desk, or as a night auditor, strongly preferred
Role Description
Front Desk & Guest Services
- Greet, register, and assist guests during overnight hours using InnQuest roommaster
- Process check-ins, check-outs, room changes, and reservations
- Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Answer phone calls and provide information about the property and the local area
- Monitor lobby activity to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Night Audit & Accounting
- Complete the nightly audit process using InnQuest roommaster
- Balance and reconcile daily room revenue, taxes, payments, and adjustments
- Review and verify guest folios for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Generate, review, and distribute daily audit and revenue reports
- Ensure proper rollover to the next business day in roommaster
Lobby Bar & POS Reconciliation
- Close out the lobby bar using Toast POS
- Reconcile bar sales, tips, cash, and credit card transactions
- Ensure Toast reports align with roommaster revenue totals
- Secure bar cash drawers and document variances
- Confirm the bar area is properly closed, cleaned, and secured
Security & Overnight Operations
- Conduct scheduled property walk-throughs throughout each shift
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for safety and security
- Document incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual activity in the logbook
- Contact management or emergency services when required
Position Details
- This is a part-time and strictly in-person position, wherein you will work alongside a full-time Night Auditor and fill in for their role responsibilities when they are away from the office or when things are particularly busy at the Motel
- Shifts will typically span 11:00PM-7:00AM, including on weekends and over holidays
- Benefits include:
o $50,000-$65,000/year pro rata, commensurate with experience
o Two weeks of annual PTO, excluding federal holidays
o Choice of eight federal holidays
o Travel reimbursement between the motel, office, and restaurants
