PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard procedure is to establish and define the basic function, reporting relationships, authority, requirements, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance to successfully fulfill the position of the International Logistics Coordinator of LMT Defense.
BASIC FUNCTION
The International Logistics Coordinator manages and streamlines our global shipping operations. This role serves as a critical link between our customers, internal teams, and freight partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products worldwide. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of international shipping regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The International Logistics Coordinator derives authority from and reports directly to Director of International Business
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Required: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent
- Preferred: Secondary Degree in supply chain management, international business, or related field
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and good reasoning skills.
- Exceptional communication and customer interface capability.
- Knowledge of firearms industry and/or international trade/compliance practices.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer-based products e.g. MS Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Familiarization with enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Understanding of project management practices
- Preferred skills: Familiarity with Incoterms, customs documentation, and international trade compliance.

AUTHORITY
The International Logistics Coordinator derives the authority necessary to effectively complete the responsibilities and duties listed herein.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- On-going communication with clients, freight forwarders, foreign representatives, International Sales Managers, International Compliance Coordinator, and other LMT Departments to achieve successful delivery of products globally.
- Act as the primary point of contact for international logistics inquiries, providing timely updates and resolving issues related to shipments and delivery schedules.
- Source and compare international freight quotes from carriers and freight forwarders to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
- Monitor the status of sales orders to ensure products are prepared for shipment in alignment with customer requirements and internal timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to authorize and release orders for shipment, ensuring compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Manage end-to-end shipment processes, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery tracking.
- Exercise understanding of ITAR and ATF compliance processes
- Identify and resolve logistical conflicts such as capacity limitations, route disruptions, or regulatory issues to maintain on-time delivery performance.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to walk, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders and move from place to place. The incumbent will regularly stand, sit and talk and listen and will frequently use hands to finger, handle or touch. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
The International Logistics Coordinator will be performing at an acceptable level when all the above duties and responsibilities are performed in a thorough and timely manner.
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
