Project Manager, Credit & Lending
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Credit & Lending for a consultant opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee enterprise-wide lending initiatives through the full lifecycle, from initiation to implementation.
- Build and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, governance documentation, and accelerate executive steering committees, stakeholder meetings, and project governance reviews.
- Drive strategic initiatives supporting consumer, commercial, mortgage, auto, and small business lending operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide lending transformation programs, system implementations, process improvements, and digital modernization initiatives.
- Reinforce enhancement and optimization of underwriting, credit assessment, and loan decisioning processes across the lending lifecycle.
- Ensure initiatives are executed in accordance with applicable banking regulations, lending requirements, and organizational policies.
- Monitor program performance and ensure adherence to established controls, risk frameworks, and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience within banking or financial services.
- 5 years of experience leading complex credit and lending initiatives,.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities, executive stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and governance processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Lean Six Sigma, or comparable professional certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting lending technology implementations, business transformation, or digital modernization initiatives within regulated financial institutions is preferred.
