Lewis Automotive Group is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Service Shop Porter to join our Service Department.
The Service Shop Porter plays an important role in keeping our service operation safe, clean, organized, and running efficiently. You will work alongside Service Advisors, Technicians, and other team members to move and prepare vehicles, maintain the shop and customer areas, and assist with daily service department operations.
No previous automotive experience is required. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles and wants to begin or grow a career in the automotive industry.
What You'll Do
- Safely move customer and dealership vehicles throughout the service drive, shop, parking lot, and wash areas.
- Assist with vehicle check-in and delivery as directed by Service Advisors or management.
- Keep the service shop, service drive, customer waiting areas, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Fuel vehicles and perform basic vehicle services such as jump-starting batteries and installing protective covers.
- Wash and vacuum customer vehicles as needed.
- Assist technicians with non-mechanical tasks and other service department needs.
- Ensure vehicles are parked properly and secured.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Provide helpful and courteous service to customers and fellow employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
