Overview
Provides high level support managing all operations, equipment, and personnel of the Wireline department in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs and coordinates the activities wireline crews in accordance with company policies and procedures Communicates with management, crew and other departments in the planning, coordination and execution of services.
Ensures good and consistent communication exists between department and customer concerning all matters relating to coordination, planning, problem solving and customer feedback concerning customer operations.
Ensure personnel involved at all levels in the operations have received appropriate training and are deemed competent for the job or assigned tasks.
Responsible for providing guidance on hiring and termination of personnel within the department. Counsels personnel on corrective actions regarding performance and proposes promotions and progression plans for employees as required.
Ensure personnel have the correct equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools necessary to perform their daily tasks.
Monitor Business Unit performance by establishing and tracking Key Performance Indicators for his daily operations. Ensure all team members works in alignment towards achieving Business Unit and Company’s objectives.
Advises on specific problems and recommended use of specialized tools, techniques, and services.
Creates and institutes policies, procedures and training regarding the operation, deployment and transport of department assets.
Assigns performance objectives to team in accordance with Company’s strategic goals. Aids managers in conducting performance appraisals and feedback sessions to ensure each employee’s performance is satisfactory or take corrective action when needed.
Prepares schedules for daily, weekly and monthly work programs of crews.
Establishes and audits processes concerning control of inventory / costs of goods, operating expenses, and capital budgets; directly responsible for the financial performance of his Business Unit.
Supports supervisors in daily activities of operations in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Wireline department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises five non-supervisory employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of five years field experience supervising wireline operations including gun loading and tools. Minimum one year experience managing wireline operations including proficiency regarding inventory management, personnel management and budgetary responsibilities to include knowledge on job costing and proposal creation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

Extensive hands on experience and knowledge of the Wireline industry.
