Parent Resource Navigator
Description: The Parent Resource Navigator is a compassionate resource for all families served by the Family Support Center (FSC), supporting, prompting, guiding, and assisting families to take the lead in their formal and informal family goals to become strong, dependable family units. This position reports to the Director of the Family Support Center. At will employment. Equal opportunity employer.

Essential Functions:
- Support families of all types “where they are” - physically, mentally, and emotionally - including foster, adoptive, kinship, and grandfamilies
- Provide community-based resource referrals for parent/caregiver education, parenting classes, and supports
- Meet with parents for initial assessment & ongoing referral to formal and informal community resources to enhance family function
- Empower families through education and support to enable them to take the lead role in planning for and responding to their family's needs
- Enhance parent's capacity by supporting them to build their protective factors and coping mechanisms
- Work with families already involved with the Court/CPS system
- Coordinate with the family, community partners, the court, and Child Protective Services, to strengthen and provide support in order to reach sustained reunification and additional parenting plan/family goals
- Communicate with the Resource Coordinator and other members of the FSC team to disseminate information to clients and other organizations
- Record quantitative and qualitative data on an ongoing basis for use in reporting and for continuous quality improvement
- Attend trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities associated with grant and programming requirements
- Enter and support program-specific information & documentation in case management
- Other duties as assigned - Training required (provided upon hire)
- Training specific to agency systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Canva, FindHelp, Slack, Continuous Quality Improvement Job Description: Parent Navigation Coordinator, continued
- Training specific to priority populations: Parental Supports & Parenting Curriculums, Strengthening Families, Mental Health First Aid, Mandated Reporter & Stewards of Children, Five Protective Factors & Social Drivers of Health, Domestic Violence 101 and 102, Substance Use Disorder specific sessions, and ACES to Resiliency
- Other trainings, as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree -OR- High School Diploma / GED equivalent with experience in the family court system, parenting skills and community services
- Background check & CPS/APS check
- Computer, verbal, and written communication skills
- Transportation, valid motor vehicle operator’s license and insurance for reliable vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required by programming
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb 12 stairs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
