Bindery Operator

Job Title: Bindery OperatorOverview:We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bindery Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience operating various bindery and finishing equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring printed materials are finished accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and maintain bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, stitchers, collators, drills, and other finishing machinery.Review job tickets and specifications to ensure each job is completed according to customer and production requirements.Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on bindery equipment.Assist in scheduling, prioritizing, and organizing work to meet deadlines.Handle materials efficiently, including loading paper stock, stacking, and packaging completed jobs.Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all company safety and quality procedures.Communicate effectively with supervisors, press operators, and other production staff to ensure smooth workflow.Record production data, monitor output, and report any issues or delays promptly.Qualifications:Prior experience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a commercial printing environment preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and measurements.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality and safety.What We Offer:Competitive pay and benefits package.Opportunity to work with modern equipment and a skilled production team.Stable, full-time position with room for growth and advancement.Company DescriptionLewis Color Inc. was founded in 1961 as a commercial printer in Statesboro Georgia.
