LC State invites applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $50,000 - $55,000
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience communicating and interacting with the public and public officials, such as agency heads and the Legislature.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and manage complex logistics, along with a proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Proven capability to compose and edit high-level correspondence, reports, and complex documents tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring precision and compliance with institutional standards.
- Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives, and developing recommendations for management/administrators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Budget management experience, which includes responsibility for monitoring budget balances.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in environments requiring confidentiality.
- Skilled in applying sound judgment and discretionary decision-making techniques, balancing policy, organizational priorities, and stakeholder needs.
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events.
Responsibilities:

Manages communication and scheduling activities for the vice president, ensuring effective time management and prioritization of schedule using appropriate judgment to adjust as necessary.

Provides administrative and analytical support to the vice president to ensure timely and effective communications between the vice president's office and other campus divisions/departments and the public.

Provides administrative and analytical support to departments within Administrative Services, including but not limited to Budget, Controller's, Purchasing, and Human Resources. May act as the P-Card manager and provide Jaggaer support for departments within Administrative Services

Acts as a primary liaison for all staff who report to the vice president, providing support on initiatives taken on by the vice president as well as ensuring that deadlines are met.

Provides timely follow-up on deliverables.

Independently initiates and orchestrates projects and process improvement initiatives within the department and across the Administrative Services' unit. Assists in program planning and development.

Administers budgets for Administrative Services.

Oversees and directs workflow, independently researching and responding to inquiries, complaints and concerns from both internal and external constituencies.

Engages in active problem solving and proposes resolutions to concerns based on a thorough understanding of college policies, procedures and precedent.

Authority to respond to sensitive or controversial issues that require high-level public relations and interpersonal skills.

Handles highly sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.

Researches and prepares reports as requested. Independently researches, compiles, develops, and summarizes material for reports.

Coordinates complex office, meeting, and event logistics, which may include catering, travel, registration, and meeting room organization with design, equipment, etc.

Ensures the Administrative Services' and other departmental websites are current and up to date.

May lead and direct the work of one or more part-time employees, assigning and directing work.

Other duties as assigned.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support the recruitment and retention of students.
