Sales Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our business in Alabama, specifically the Decatur, Cullman, and Madison marketing areas. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening key customer relationships, and developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced, big-box retail environment. Candidates must currently reside in or near the Decatur, Cullman, or Madison, AL area. Relocation assistance is not available.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve and exceed sales volume and performance targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in a big-box retail environment
• Recruit, train, and develop merchandisers to meet customer expectations and business objectives
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity; provide insights and recommendations to leadership
• Execute company sales strategies to drive growth and customer satisfaction
• Ensure team adherence to safety, compliance, and professional standards
• Provide regular performance feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of sales and leadership experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or direct store delivery (DSD) environments
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and programs
• Ability to analyze market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work within the Decatur, Cullman, and Madison, AL market (no relocation assistance available)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, where permitted by law
