Overview
The offices of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, are seeking an Appeals Specialist with legal experience. The Appeals Specialist will have excellent technology and communication skills and a high level of professional accountability in order to timely manage and submit invoice appeals to various e-billing vendors. The Appeals Specialist must demonstrate expertise in all facets of the e-billing appeals function for insurance defense matters which may include multiple payors, SIRs and other complex billing arrangements.

Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
- Two (2) to four plus (4 ) years of hands-on law firm billing and appeals experience with high volume e-billing
- Aderant, Elite, LawTime (or equivalent) legal accounting software experience; BillBlast or eBillingHubexperience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college level courses in Accounting or Accounting Degree is aplus
- Strong technology and office skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook,and ability to create, edit, and present complex data, analyses and ad hoc reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an aptitude for working withnumbers
- Effectively and credibly interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries, and clients
- Detail-oriented with a customer service approach and attitude to problem-solving
- Anticipate work needs and organize work flow; follow through with minimal direction and follow upindependently and on own initiative
- Multi-task, use time efficiently and perform professionally at a high level under tight deadlinesand in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment; successfully prioritize and adapt tochanging demands
- Flexibility to adjust to varied situations and possibly work weekends or evenings as needed
