Job Summary:
The position is responsible for supporting clients by implementing individualized ABA intervention strategies as designed by the supervising BCBA. The role includes maintaining clinical competency and ensuring client safety and dignity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support clients with activities of daily living, including toileting, feeding, dressing, bathing, showering, and cooking.
- Physically support and supervise clients in session areas, involving standing, sitting, bending, lifting, running, squatting, and kneeling.
- Demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as outlined in the RBT Competency Assessment.
- Implement individualized ABA intervention strategies.
- Support skill building in communication, play, social skills, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.
- Use compassionate, trauma-informed, and assent-based approaches during all sessions.
- Collect accurate and timely session data using electronic systems.
- Support generalization of skills across home, community, and school environments.
- Maintain consistent communication with the BCBA regarding progress and client needs.
- Participate in ongoing supervision, team meetings, and required training.
- Follow ethical guidelines as per BACB, NYS licensure standards, and agency policies.
- Ensure client safety and uphold dignity and respect at all times.
Skills:
- Proficiency in language and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Competency in using electronic data collection systems.
- Clinical competency as outlined in the RBT Competency Assessment.
- Compassionate and trauma-informed approach.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- HIPAA Training (required)
- NYC Mandated Reporter Training (required)
- RBT Certification (preferred)
Experience Required:
- Experience in a similar role supporting clients with daily activities and implementing ABA strategies.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Capability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, bending, and running.
Work Environment:
- Indoor/outdoor session areas.
- Interaction with children and adults in various environments.
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
