Job Summary
The PRP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program) Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health and behavioral support services within a dynamic clinical setting. This energetic position involves coordinating patient care, facilitating therapy sessions, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards to ensure accurate documentation and treatment planning.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or behavioral emergencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, case management, and behavioral health best practices.
  • Maintain meticulous medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation, notes, and progress reports.
  • Engage in research activities related to clinical counseling techniques, data collection for outcome measurement, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide specialized support for patients with complex needs such as PTSD care, addiction counseling, grief counseling, working with people with autism or developmental disabilities, and geriatrics.

Experience

  • Proven experience in clinical counseling or behavioral health settings with a focus on mental health therapy or social work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Hands-on experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols in inpatient or outpatient environments.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical record keeping.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as children & families, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or those requiring special education services
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health treatments and familiarity with HIPAA compliance for patient privacy protection. Bachelors Degree Required. 3 years of experience in supervisory role required.

Masters Level Licensed Counselor Preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience.
