What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estate Plan Associate Attorney position at Levun, Goodman & Cohen, LLP?
North suburban firm with a sophisticated estate planning, estate administration, and tax practice, seeks an associate to join our growing firm. Our candidate should have 3 years of experience in drafting various estate plan documents for high-net-worth individuals, and handling estate and trust administration matters. Estate tax return preparation experience would be a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience and while a book of business is not required for this position, we do pay a business bonus for work generated by our associates.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with partners and clients on a broad range of estate planning matters, including:
- Drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
- Assisting with trust administration and estate settlement matters
- Advising high-net-worth individuals and business owners on wealth transfer strategies
- Coordinating with the firm’s corporate and tax attorneys on integrated planning
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of the Illinois State Bar
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
