SEO Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)

We are seeking an SEO Manager to join LevLane Advertising in our Center City Philadelphia office. This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of Philadelphia, allowing you to blend in-office collaboration with flexible work-from-home days.

At LevLane, you will support our organic search strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio of client accounts, including healthcare, senior living, and pharma. You will conduct SEO analysis, develop clear recommendations, and work with cross-functional teams to boost organic visibility and performance.

The Role: Drive Organic Search Success

You will work closely with our account, content, UX, paid media, and development teams to implement comprehensive SEO best practices and drive integrated marketing initiatives. On a daily basis, you will conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities for our clients. Your work will include developing and maintaining SEO strategies for both ongoing and new website projects.

As part of your responsibilities, you will build sitemaps, provide site architecture recommendations, and advise on navigation and content relationships to inform website designs and relaunches. You will perform technical SEO audits, including site crawls to uncover indexing, crawlability, or redirect issues, and offer actionable recommendations for improving site health and performance, including the use of structured data and schema markup.

You’ll also be tasked with optimizing metadata, headings, internal links, and on-page content, partnering with editorial teams to ensure new and existing content aligns with target search personas and supports the site’s strategic goals. Gap analysis and topic clustering will be core aspects of your approach, fostering a robust, interconnected content strategy.

Performance monitoring is a continuous effort: you will regularly analyze organic search data, track rankings, organic traffic, engagement metrics, and conversion data. You’ll prepare performance summaries and competitive landscape reports, monitoring search trends and algorithm changes, then translating these insights into clear, prioritized action plans for clients and internal teams. Throughout, you’ll present recommendations, lead cross-functional meetings, support new business efforts with SEO insights, and contribute to internal documentation and SEO best practices for the agency.

SEO Strategy & Execution

You will build SEO strategies for new website launches, redesigns, and ongoing campaigns. This includes conducting competitive analysis, developing sitemap recommendations, and presenting your strategies directly to clients. You will ensure every SEO recommendation aligns perfectly with client goals.

Technical SEO & Site Architecture

You will lead technical SEO audits and site crawls to identify indexing, crawlability, and structural issues. You will collaborate with our development teams to implement updates, monitor site health, and recommend improvements for site speed, structured data, and schema markup.

Content Strategy & Optimization

You will partner with our content teams to create SEO-driven content strategies and topic clusters. You will optimize metadata, internal links, and on-page content while mapping out search personas and content relationships to guide new website builds.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

You will track rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics to measure success. By analyzing organic performance trends and monitoring algorithm changes, you will continuously identify new optimization opportunities and summarize performance for client reporting.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on SEO practitioner who can manage multiple clients and execute both technical and content-driven SEO initiatives.

You are:

  • A strong communicator who can analyze complex data and clearly explain recommendations to internal teams and clients
  • Collaborative and proactive, easily balancing long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Experienced in building site strategies, developing content frameworks, and shaping website architecture using SEO insights

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO fundamentals
  • Experience with keyword research, content strategy, and site architecture planning
  • Familiarity with structured data and schema markup
  • Experience presenting SEO recommendations directly to clients

Preferred Tools & Experience
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
  • SEMrush and Screaming Frog
  • Looker Studio (or similar reporting tools)
  • WordPress experience (is a plus)
  • Experience working on website redesigns and migrations alongside development teams
