Position SummaryThe Event Operations Manager is a key member of the FLPD team, responsible for overseeing concert and event operations, volunteer coordination, and facility management. This role ensures the successful execution of each concert season and supports the overall mission of creating inclusive, high-quality musical experiences for the Dayton community.
This position reports to the Director of Programming and works closely with the leadership team and the City of Dayton.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations- Manage food vendor applications and scheduling.
- Oversee inventory and ordering for concessions and merchandise.
- Track and reconcile merchandise sales.
- Support data collection for grants, including the Levitt National Survey.
- Develop and implement event checklists and operational procedures.
- Schedule janitorial services
- Schedule security for all events held at the venue
- Support organizational events that happen off-site
Volunteer Management- Recruit, train, and manage a core team of volunteers.
- Provide on-site support and supervision during concerts.
- Foster a positive and engaging volunteer experience.
Facility Management- Coordinate with the City of Dayton on maintenance and facility needs.
- Ensure the venue is clean, safe, and prepared for each event.
- Manage vendor and artist logistics, including merchandise setup.
- Staff and equip the information booth and concession stand for each concert.
- Serve as liaison for potential venue rentals.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in event or operations management.
- Proven success in event planning and execution.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing volunteers and delivering excellent customer service.
- Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and goal-oriented mindset.
- Passion for community engagement and the arts.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
