Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to oversee and implement various audio-visual installations and support processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment, take initiative in problem-solving, and balance a dynamic day-to-day work life effectively. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment, including home theater, home audio systems, smart lighting, home automation systems, surveillance systems and landscape lighting.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their audio-visual needs and ensure smooth execution.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, operation, and teardown of AV systems.
- Train and support clients in the use of AV equipment and software.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during the setup and operation of AV equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an audio-visual technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating AV equipment.
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and evenings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 LBS.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with brands such as Lutron, Sonos, Control 4, Crestron, Ubiquiti, Ring and Nest.
- Familiarity with AV software such as D-tools
- Knowledge of networking and IT systems related to AV setups.
- Certification from InfoComm International (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D) is a plus.
